This is an amazing Vintage Flapper necklace. Made up of differing qualities of Honey, Egg Yolk & Congac amber chips. It is a staggering 194cm long/diameter weighing 175.5g. I have found it very difficult to find comparibles online, even after substantial research.
The history of this piece is a local lady handed it in to my Boutique and informed me it belonged to her mother who was born around 1910. The customer remembers playing with it as a child & her mother telling her that she use to wear it when she went dancing - helping to cement it to the 20/30's. It has been restrung at some point with acrylic but due to its age this is not suprising as cotton is usually disintigrates with advancing age.
The owner would love to see this being loved again and living another life keeping her family history alive!
